Reflection
10.2.23: Creation of the FMP website, I also started creating five FMP ideas to begin with.
14.2.23 - Week 1: The first week of our FMP project we were tasked with creating a basic green screen edit with Premier Pro using footage we had been given to make it, as well as creating a football pitch on photoshop and uploading them onto webnode.
21.2.23 - Week 2: We began looking at testimonials and start planning to do our own testimonials as well as others testimonials for other students in different courses, I volunteered to be interviewed as a member of the media students testimonials. after this was done, me and the people who interviewed me began sharing the footage and began making our own edits of the testimonial and exported them onto YouTube. I also came up with a sixth Idea that ended up ultimately being the topic I wish to do my FMP on.
28.2.23 - Week 3: This week mostly had us answer a recap sheet explaining why our previous projects helped us for our last FMP project as well as learning screen writing if we were to do a short-film for our FMP as well as beginning to work on our rationale for the FMP. This also continued into week 4.
7.3.23 - Week 4: We continued to do writing for script-writing as well as fill out another skills audit form about our strengths, weaknesses and personal skills within the media course. I also finished creating my rationale and began making my FMP PowerPoint presentation early and had it done by Friday morning. I also began doing research onto the topic I plan to do for my FMP. We also created music for our testimonials using Garageband. We also were tasked with creating an Autuer page on a specific film maker or book author for our FMP, I did one for the creator of the series that I am covering as I will be heavily covering his work, as well as his work inspiring me to do this project in the first place.
14.3.23 - Week 5: This week was mostly just me focusing on creating a pitch presentation for my FMP on JoJo Steel Ball Run, which after showcasing to my teacher, I got approval to begin further work on the Project as the idea was green-lighted to go forward. I was also given a weekly diary sheet to write down all of the work I have done in those specific weeks similar to this reflection page.
21.3.23 - Week 6: This week we created hand crafted posters for our FMP projects as well as creating a short film as part of a group activity called The Dilemma which required us to work in a group of six people, I was grouped with Jordan Mortan, Micheal Barker, Charlie Parker, Izzy Flanagan and Heather Codd to work on our own version of the short film, with me being the camera man.
28.3.23 - Week 7: I began collecting some equipment to borrow for my Interview that I was planning to do over the easter holiday. I also began finding some videos that are similar to the project I am doing and see if there is anything that I can find that I may possibly will be able to replicate into my very own video.
1.4.23 - 16.4.23: Easter Holiday, Week 8 & 9: The past two weeks were very busy and I was able to plan the interview with my friend and got to Newbury on the 14th, I began recording my interviews with him on both the 15th and 16th. I also brought my own manga as props to be used in the background of the interview. I did have some technical difficulties as both my own and a borrowed camera kept on stopping whilst recording, another problem was that I could not charge the borrowed camera's battery due to it not being the same type.
17.4.23 - Week 10: I returned the equipment I borrowed and began filling out some more research that I needed to include or iron out. I additionally started working on a narration script for my documentary video as well as finishing my research onto three videos that could help with my project. We also learned how to create a GoFundMe/ Patreon style tier crowdfunding for our Freelancing or our FMPs, and creating these ideas in mind mup.
24.4.2023 - Week 11: This week I did a light load of work for my FMP due to external reasons. I mostly just re-checked my research as well as development for my Documentary video.
1.5.2023 - Week 12: I had to re-record my interview due to technical difficulties previously, I was able to get a good enough interview and proceeded to go through it to see what I could use for the documentary.
8.5.2023 - Week 13: I had begun editing my documentary video as well as filling out more music and videos that'll be present within the Documentary through the bibliography page.
15.5.2023 - Week 14: On this week I decided to do some form of marketing for my documentary video and came up with two ideas. One was a 50 second opening for the documentary whilst the other was an ending theme for the documentary. After planning both of them, I ultimately decided to go for the ending and began creating it within a day after coming up with the plan.
22.5.2023 Week 15: I had finished editing my documentary video for my project, but unfortunately the save file was corrupted and I had to start again, Luckily I had an older save that I backed up just in case and began editing it again to hopefully get it done by the deadline, though I fear it may take a bit longer and may require me to go over the deadline by a day or two.
